Fort Wayne, IN.—Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana is excited to announce the kick-off of the 2009 Bowl for Kids Sake fundraising season. Bowl for Kids Sake is Big Brothers Big Sisters’ largest fundraising effort, with last years contributions totalling over $240,000. Events are held in thirteen counties throughout Northeast Indiana and South Central Michigan, with multiple dates and times available.

Bowlers in Adams, Allen, Dekalb, Huntington, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wells, and Whitley Counties in Indiana; and Branch , Hillsdale, and St. joseph counties in Michigan, can have a great time bowling with their friends and raising money for an organization that serves more than 1,500 children yearly.

Bowling skills are not required at this fun event, and teams are open to all ages. To form a team, simply gather four friends, sign up a team, and commit to raising funds to directly support youth mentoring in your county. Each team member is asked to raise $100 each. This can be as easy as contacting ten friends or family members for at least a $10 donation, and companies or individuals can also contribute by becoming sponsors.
