Fort Wayne Civil Rights: Yesterday and Today is Focus of February

UC Event

FORT WAYNE, Ind.—Indiana University–Purdue University-Fort Wayne’s (IPFW’s) College of Art and Sciences’ 2012 University Community Conversations (UC?) presents “Fort Wayne Civil Rights: Yesterday and Today,” Thursday, February 23, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Neff Hall, Room 101.

Following the 2012 “The City” theme and as part of Black History Month, UC? presents a panel discussion about the civil rights movement in Fort Wayne. The panelists, whose experience spans from the 1960s to today, will discuss their local and national efforts as well as offer their views on the evolution of the movement. This unique experience will bring together an impressive array of experts to talk about civil rights from the perspective of long-time Fort Wayne residents.

The event is free and open to the public. Full details about the event are at bit.ly/zE6VGL.
