2016 Latino Legislative Breakfast

Some of the students shared some highlights of their experiences.

Yanini Davila: “I learned that the major issues is that Latinos are not in the table but on the menu. That means that we are not heard or noticed much. It is very important because we live in a country where we are the minority and we can’t live in a country without being noticed.”

Moises Hernandez: “I saw that the Latino vote actually makes a difference in Indiana – enough so that the breakfast was catering towards Latinos.”

Diana: “They all seem to be talking about the issues, but seem more concerned with the fact that it is an election year and so they are not taking as much action as they should be.”
