WB4 LAUNCHES “HOY EN DIA INDIANA”

INDIANAPOLIS - In a continuing effort to reach out to the local community, WB4 launched a Spanish language television program in Indiana, Hoy en Dia Indiana on Sunday, March 30, 2003 at 11:30 a.m.

Hosted by Fox 59’s Lourdes Duarte, who is fluent in both Spanish and English, the program will air monthly and will focus on community events, leaders, entertainment, health, and money issues.

The first program includes an interview with Consul Sergio Aguilera of the Indianapolis Mexican Consulate and Eduardo Mendoza, a Westfield Middle School principal, who is one of only six Hispanic principals in the state. In the health segment, the launch of the government’s National Hispanic Family Health Hotline will be examined and Hoy en Dia Indiana’s entertainment reporter snatched an exclusive interview with the well-know music group, Monchy y Alexandra.

“There is no doubt Hoy en Dia is needed in our state. Hispanics have made and are making great contributions to our community. Hoy en Dia will acknowledge their efforts and introduce our community to these deserving leaders,” explained host Lourdes Duarte.

Hoy en Dia Indiana will reair the March 30th program on Sunday, April 12, 2003 at 11:30 a.m. A new installment of the show will air on Sunday, May 4, 2003 at 11:30 a.m.
