The Goshen Chamber of Commerce and Indiana University Health Goshen will have a special Centennial Celebration Presentation on Tuesday, April 16th at 7:30pm at the Rieth Recital Hall at the Goshen College Music Center.
“The New Normal in Health Care: What Does it Mean for Our Community and Our Economy?”
The featured speaker will be Paul H. Keckley, Ph.D. Dr. Kecley is a health economist and a leading expert on U.S. health industry trends and reform. He has testified before Congress and advised policymakers in Republican and Democratic administrations. He is a regular contributor to CNN, Fox News, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, CNBC, Bloomberg, and Forbes, among others.

SOUTH BEND — Two local high school students are the recipients of a first-time award. Clay High School senior Aisha Erby and Washington High School senior Emily Castro were awarded the first Christopher Simril Award. The awards were presented during the TRiO Programs’ 11th annual Student & Parent Leadership Conference at the Notre Dame Conference Center.
As a team, TRiO advisers and staff members discussed a variety of options, and decided on creating an award to recognize outstanding seniors as a part of our annual Student & Parent Leadership Conference.”
Emily Castro, Washington High School senior, also received the award. “It was such a honor for me to win the Chris Simril Award because I knew him and what he was about,” said Emily. “He was such an exceptional young man who cared about education and loved being part of Upward Bound. I'm proud to have won an award bearing his name.
