State Representative John Aguliera, Chair of the Legislative Commission Hispanic/Latino Affairs invited Indiana students to Hispanic Student Outreach Days on April 8-9. Eight Craig Middle School students attended the April 9th event. Students had the opportunity to serve their local representative as pages. Gloria Schettino, Maria Rodriquez, Jose Ovispo and Gilberto Jimenez worked for Representative Brian Bosma while Erika
Munoz, Lucas Hoyos, Noemi Morales and Mario Garcia served Mae Dickenson.
After taking photos with their representative, students delivered messages, documents and other important information to representatives on the House floor.
Later, Hispanic representatives from government, education, and the business community spoke to the children about the importance overcoming barriers and believing in your dreams. Students ended the day by taking a tour of the Indiana State House.
