Celebration with Students of LEAP of Noble County

On May 3, 2007 Northeastern Center and 30 students from LEAP of Noble County, Ligonier gathered to celebrate the completion of their Bienvenido Program classes. At the gathering there was an opportunity to review accomplishments gained, shared a meal together, and certificates were given to participants. During the last nine weeks students addressed the following topics: good mental health, my strengths and my needs, managing anger, good communication in the process of adaptation, play in the process of adaptation, risk factors and protective factors, good mental health and my family, and the incidence of alcohol and drug use in the process of adaptation.

It was a pleasure to have worked with the students and observe their interest for learning more about good mental health and the process of adapting to this country. We wish continued success to the students and their families. We appreciate LEAP of Noble County’s willingness to collaborate with Northeastern Center. We will move forward in search for more opportunities for collaboration and education of good mental health for the community.
