The 24th annual Earth & Arbor Day Festival took place on Saturday, April 23, from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm in Potawatomi Park in South Bend. Rain. The day will began with an Easter Egg hunt, animal blessing, and “Walk in the Park” benefit for animal groups, along the hiking path.
A tree and flower planting, as well as the Official South Bend Tree City Proclamation will occurred at 10:00 am.
The remainder of the day featured events and activities for adults and children: Kids ecology educational activities, bird feeder making, planting of mini-gardens, recycled art crafts, environmental displays from clubs, organizations, and businesses, animal rescue organizations, kids rope swing, live music, and much more.
