SJCPL’s 125th Anniversary leads to an exciting Summer Reading Kick-Off Party

South Bend—On Friday, June 6th the St. Joseph County Public Library will host a Summer Reading Kick-Off Party in their staff parking lot at the Main location in downtown South Bend. “Because we are celebrating our 125th anniversary, we wanted to make this event as festive as possible. Continuing to read throughout the summer months is a great way to give kids/teens the tools for future education. The more people involved, the better…wonderful discussions can take place. This is where the imagination allows for so many possibilities,” said Jennifer Zent, Communication Executive for SJCPL.

Sign-up is free and gives each participant the opportunity to log books until August 2nd. There are prizes for each age group as they complete different books at their reading level(s). Additionally, there are raffles that bring even more excitement to the mix, including a Wii gaming system. This is one celebration you won’t want to miss!*
