Transpo and Interurban Trolley Connection Point to Relocate
SOUTH BEND, ELKHART, GOSHEN, Ind. – The South Bend Public Transportation Corporation (Transpo) and Michiana Area Council of Governments (MACOG) announced today that the connection point between Transpo and the Interurban Trolley will be relocated beginning Monday, June 16.
Transpo provides fixed route public transportation services in South Bend and Mishawaka while the Interurban Trolley, provides service in Elkhart and Goshen. Transpo’s route #9 Northside Mishawaka connects with the Interurban Trolley’s Yellow Line Bittersweet. The connection point was previously located in the shopping center on Bittersweet Road between Lincolnway East and Vistula Road.
The city of Mishawaka, Transpo and the Interurban Trolley have worked together to establish a new connection point which will be located outside the shopping center on Bittersweet Road. (See attached map).
The vital public transportation services provided by Transpo and the Interurban Trolley connect residents of St. Joseph and Elkhart Counties to Chicago, via the South Shore Line, South Bend, Mishawaka, Elkhart and Goshen.
