Dietician Shares Heart Healthy Summer Recipes for Grilling
Goshen, Ind. The Heart Healthy Eating Support Group will discuss healthy grilling during the meeting to be held on Wednesday, July 26 at 8:30 a.m. The Heart Healthy Eating Support Group will meet in the Dining Room Annex at Goshen General Hospital, 200 High Park Ave.
Typically when families grill out, the items on the grill consist of hamburgers, hotdogs, or bratwurst that can be high in saturated fat. We want people to be aware of this, and choose healthier options for their summer time grilling, said Armando Rangel, Registered Dietitian.
Heart healthy recipes will be shared during the discussion, as well as education about preventing cross contamination. The Heart Healthy Eating Support Group is free to interested community members. We encourage those with heart disease and their family members to attend. A light breakfast will be provided for a small charge. Please reserve your spot with Dottie Kauffmann at 574-535-2505 Ext. 1102 by July 24, 2006.
