Charging batteries for the new school year

Giselda Medina and Karen Carrisosa are two of the broadcasters from the Latino Satation “Sabor Latino” 98.1 FM from South Bend. The general program runs 24 /7.


As you may have heard, there is a hate group that is having a national rally on August 24th. We thought that would be a fun date and time (different location) to celebrate the diverse make-up of our city.

Fort Wayne Philharmonic

The Fort Wayne Philharmonic, conducted by Maestro Edvard Tchivzhel, will perform its annual Marshmallow Festival Pops Concert on August 30, 2003, at 4:00 pm. A new location and setting is featured this year. Concert will be held on the land south of the library on Main Street, Ligonier, Indiana.

Overwhelming Public Support for the Matricula Consular

The U.S. Department of Treasury learned that 76 percent of those who submitted comments on the matrícula consular issue approve of this form of identification for Mexican immigrants. Recently a group of anti-immigrant members of Congress pressured the Treasury Department to reopen the issue of whether the Mexican consular ID cards are valid for financial transactions.
