Sinclair responds to the challenge of the Dayton areas growing Latino population through its Hispanic Outreach Initiative directed by Lilly Calderon. The goal is to provide outreach efforts to inform the community of what educational opportunities are available for Latinos. It is similar to older Sinclair outreach programs for the Miami Valleys larger African-American and Appalachian populations.
The purpose of Exploring Engineering Technologies is to introduce Hispanic high school students and adults to the various engineering technology disciplines and provide information about the educational options available to them, said Calderon. Many faculty, counselors, and interpreters will be available to discuss Sinclairs Engineering and Industrial Technologies programs and opportunities. For more information about Sinclairs Exploring Engineering Technologies event, or its Hispanic Outreach Initiative, contact Lilly Calderon at (937) 512-4060 or email@example.com.
