Sinclair to Host Engineering Exploration for Hispanic Community

Dayton, Ohio — Sinclair Community College will host Exploring Engineering Technologies for the greater Dayton area’s Hispanic community on Thursday, October 9.

The event will be held from 9-11:30 a.m. and 6-8 p.m. in Room 2322, on the third floor of Building 2, on the Sinclair campus in Dayton. It is free and open to the public.

Sinclair responds to the challenge of the Dayton area’s growing Latino population through its Hispanic Outreach Initiative directed by Lilly Calderon. The goal is to provide outreach efforts to inform the community of what educational opportunities are available for Latinos. It is similar to older Sinclair outreach programs for the Miami Valley’s larger African-American and Appalachian populations.
