FREE SOUTH BEND SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA CONCERT TO OPEN NEW CHRIS WILSON PERFORMING ARTS PAVILION AT POTAWATOMI PARK
To celebrate the dedication and grand opening of the new Chris Wilson Pavilion at Potawatomi Park, the South Bend Symphony Orchestra, with Maestro Tsung Yeh conducting, will perform a special concert on Sunday, September 27, at 3 p.m. The first half of the concert will be a reflection on America’s “melting pot” heritage with music from German, French, Polish, English, and Russian composers; the second half will celebrate American Pops with music composed by John Williams, Cole Porter, and Henry Mancini.
This concert is free and open to the entire community. No tickets are needed; attendees should bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating. Refreshments will be available on site. In case of rain, the concert will be moved to the John Adams High School Auditorium.
