Martins Super Markets celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month Martins Super Markets held its first Hispanic Celebration last Saturday October 4th, 2003 in an effort to reach its growing Hispanic community around the area. The celbration took place in the parking lot of Martíns located on 4401 W. Western Ave. South Bend, IN with an entertaining schedule of events. Along with Martin;s Hispanic celebration, Notre Dame Federal Credit Union opened its first bilingual branch inside Matins and celebrated their grand opening. One of the events that took place was the jalapeno contest that was won by Eduardo Rodríguez who ate the outstanding number of 30 jalapeños!!!
