News of Goshen’s First Fridays events have spread across the continent to the outer reaches of the Arctic. Today, speaking from his home in the North Pole, Santa Claus announced his appreciation for the generosity and festive spirit of the city of Goshen with a promised visit to the town center on December 7th. Saint Nicholas will spend the evening entertaining kids of all ages at Deneen Studios, 211 South Main Street. Photographer, Jennifer Miller, will be available in the studio to capture each child’s visit with souvenir photos.

“With Santa’s visit, First Fridays has officially become an international event!” exclaims Eric Kanagy, President of RedPost, a Downtown Goshen software development firm. “Downtown Goshen changes through each season of the year, and it’s exciting to see First Fridays receive an honorary visit from this international dignitary.”

In the space adjoining Deneen Studio, New World Arts will be hosting Center Stage Academy’s rehearsal for their holiday performance of “A Tuna Christmas” and “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” between the hours of 5:30 and 9:00 PM. There will be other holiday events at various locations throughout the city. LaCasa of Goshen is hosting a “BIG TO DO” in celebration of the renovation completion of the historic Shoots Building at 112 East Lincoln Avenue.

The public is invited to tour the newly remodeled Building LaCasa will offer refreshments. At 7:00 PM, Double Barrel Darrel will perform a FREE concert at this location. Finally, warm-up near an outdoor fire with warm foods, hot drinks, and roasted chestnuts at the Advent Market hosted by Rachel’s Bread and the Goshen Farmer’s Market.
