The Tolson Center for Community Excellence celebrates one year of empowering lives and opening doors to bright futures

The Tolson Center for Community Excellence is thrilled to invite the community to celebrate our one year anniversary of opening its reimagined center on Saturday, December 14, 2024, 11 am – 2 pm at 1320 Benham Ave.. The celebration will be an open house with a short program at noon to share about the great accomplishments and recognize individuals who have helped make the center successful.

Since its opening in November 2023, Tolson has had over 4000 memberships, roughly 200 people use the facility daily of all ages, and thousands have attended cultural events. Our state-of-the-art facility is serving as a community hub and intentionally welcoming neighbors near and far.

“We are excited to celebrate the great accomplishments of the center’s first year of operation and the tremendous impact it has had on our community, says Dr. Breanna Allen, Executive Director of Tolson. The center was built with the mission of empowering and enriching the lives of our neighbors and community, and we are proud to see that mission being carried out daily.”

• Guided tours
• Refreshments and light snacks
