Ivy Tech students in Elkhart County get summer tuition discount GOSHEN — Elkhart County residents are eligible for a special deal that will provide a tuition discount of more than 50 percent on Ivy Tech Community College classes this summer. For the summer 2013 semester, eligible Elkhart County students will pay only $50 per credit hour, which is more than a 50 percent discount on the college’s regular tuition rate of $111.15 per credit hour, the college announced Thursday. To be eligible, a student must be an Elkhart County resident who is registered as a student at the Ivy Tech’s Elkhart County campus. This year Ivy Tech is celebrating its 50th anniversary. In honor of that milestone, local philanthropists Mervin and Dorothy Lung have given a boost to the scholarship fund that bears their name, which will provide for the summer discount.
